i have to agree, seeing the Mark/Princess relationship explored would have been good,
but i guess thats where fanfic comes in but even then there seems to be a distinct lack of that plot line, i think i have read more where the fact that Ken is gay is alluded to, and the series where he is with Joe cracked me up, i foget who wrote it but it was so funny and moving at the same time, tissue warning needed for the ending though.
The story where a relationship between mark and Princess occurs is probably described in Leap of Faith by Daniel Rush, co written wioth Bibby(?) Its extreme circumstances but its really good at showing the dynamics between the team without moving too far away from what we know of them from the show.
