In Gatchaman 2, the New God Phoenix was sort of remote-controlled - it had an autopilot robot named Pimer! Ken could contact Pimer on his bracelet and ask Pimer to fly places, give a pickup/dropoff, etc.

Is it just me, or is anyone else getting the impression the writers have finally been watching some of the episodes?
