So I was telling Flash about this headline in bed last night. When I said that it was in China, he politely corrected me saying that the "Penis Festival and Shrines" are Japanese.

I had to pause before I decided to insist it was China and just say:

WTF

Did he just say "Penis Festival & Shrine"?

Did I hear that right?

He continued to explain that they have shrines to the penis and celebrate it (Well, big shock that a GUY would celebrate a penis - but a nation?) ...

Natural curiosity abounding, I decided to look into it.
