Ohhh, I think I'm seeing the bigger story now. G-Force have all dispersed to different places in their never-seen-before and individually named rockets, and now this is where that robot Princess from the page you'd posted a long time ago comes from?

It actually is a good plot, and he did a better job than Anderson in "Decoys of Doom" -these robots don't have the telltale lines on either side of their mouths!

And have Zoltar's goons taken to wearing 19th C-style Prussian helmets or are these some different guys?

- hire them out for parties - condor is very popular at hen's night
- sell them to Madame Tussauds - wax museum
- Chippendale dancers - Swan can be the bouncer
- contact Hollywood - robots are still "In" at the moment
- Door stops / guards - I'm sick of the stupid "Captains of the week" and their silly suggestions, they will think twice about knocking at my door - zoltar
- hat / cloths racks
- pin boards
- personal target practice dummys
- Mannequins for dressing up - outfits for the "Captain of the week"

Internal memo received from Cleaner of Lab were robots are stored, requesting more cleaner for removing Ink Stains (someone keeps drawing moustaches, beards and rude drawing on the G-force robots, not to mention the "This way up" and " Kick me" signs)

I've always wondered if any such thoughts ever crossed Jun's mind in the episode with the robot decoys of the team -especially as they apparently did whatever they were told!

Well..I am now!

I was thinking more along the lines of a Ken doll (as in Barbie) having just a bump, now I'm thinking along the lines of the human sized sex dolls you can buy (not me personaly, my manniquin at work would get jealous)

ps If my Anatomy and Phy course at uni had cadavas like this, I may have paid more attention, instead of sitting up the back with all the other trouble makers

LW, you have some great ideas there!

LB, you're right that these are the robot doubles that appeared in the Princess/Mark comic you posted earlier. The team takes off in their individual rockets to encounter the doubles individually.

There is one major plot hole, however. Their identities are supposed to be secret. However, Zoltar clearly knows their faces well enough to make doubles that are good enough to fool other members of the team! What's up with that????

So another few panels from the Robot Doubles storyline... Jason got hit with a freeze ray and has to be rescued. But there are *so* many things wrong with this...

Where do I start? Doing the Fiery Phoenix without Jason onboard? And in space? And where did Jason's visor disappear to in the last panel? Anything else people see?

I don't see any other problems, but then I am running on about 10 days lack of sleep.

Is there something that says all members of the team HAVE to be on the ship. At the moment I can only remember that it has to be all their individual vehicles. Still you would think it would be easier to collect the frozen Jason and then bring him into the ship, warming him up by going fiery while inside the Phoenix.

Ah, seeing Jason floating frozen in space reminds of the black-and-white page from the comics that you'd come across and posted here a few years ago.

As for what's wrong, the big question in my mind is how the heck did they actually rescue Jason and why did they have to use the fiery Phoenix to do it. I mean, how did they get him on board the "fiery Phoenix" without melting off the ice and exposing him to the absolutely cold vacuum of space? It's not like he's in a space suit.

And he's running out of oxygen? Just how much oxygen did he have, if he's encased in ice like that? Doesn't look like he should have been able to survive for more than a few minutes in there -good thing for Jason that he knows how to slow his breathing and minimize oxygen use! It would make more sense if he were in some sort of cryogenic stasis, but then he wouldn't need oxygen at all, and there goes the dramatic tension.

Hee, I note that the writers very conveniently just skipped over all this -one panel he's in space, the next he's de-iced and on the Phoenix.

Yep, you're right, LB! That's the scene that precedes Jason's rescue. IIRC, the Keyop robot froze Jason. Poor guy, unable to take out the robot sent to attack him...

It's in Gatch that all five vehicles are necessary for weapons to deploy.

The episodes of BotP I've viewed on Veoh usually mention some artificial reason for failure to use their weapons, such as jamming by the enemy. From this, I gather that, on BotP, the Phoenix doesn't need a full crew, or all vehicles, on board.

And, the black-and-white page shows that Zoltar knows at least Jason's and Princess' names too, if not all of their names.

I guess he must have learned them by reading them off the sides of their individual rockets!
