Some cat videos.

One action packed.(My husband and I busted a gut laughing at this. Our two female cats are bug hunters and do this all the time).

This is my 6 year old Himalayan/ Maine Coon male and his strange way of eating.

Enjoy.

That's hilarious. My cat is a great bug hunter as well. She can hear them from across the house, I think. I love it! I mean, I live in a basement, so there is a tendency to get a bit more bugs than normal, even though we have the place professionally treated. I always fine their remains, but I have also learned to spot her when she is sitting still with her nose close to the floor. I learned quick that she is playing with a bug or a spider. Yep, cats love those things for some reason. I hate HATE them, so I am glad to have my own personal bug hunter who patrols my dwelling for me much better than I ever could!

I love it. I have seen my cats do the same thing, although I can't say I have ever seen them EAT the creature they were "playing" with, but then that maybe because I stop watching before they get to the "feast".

My two cats also seem to do the same thing with mice, and I know they do not eat those - yet, because I find the wet, soggy bodies after they are done playing.

Hee! Mickey is cute -I've never seen a cat eat like that!

My cat used to like to flick his dry food out of his dish with one paw, and then eat it off the floor, but he never did this. He wasn't much of a bug-eater either, though he enjoyed batting them to death with his paws.

I feel a tiny bit sorry for the spider in the other video, but I think that's only because of the captions! Laugh2

I recall one of my sister's cats, a tabby named Bobka, being an eager bug-eater -at least if his "prey" had been immobilized. On one occasion I remember at least stunning a very large spider by tossing a history of the English Reformation on top of it (a suitably weighty topic). Bobka was there when I lifted up the book, and upon seeing the unmoving spider, he promptly ate it.

"Good kitty!" said I, pleased to not have to dispose of it myself.

Bobka was conveniently handy on another occasion, when I spotted a disgustingly large house centipede (a creature I especially hate -all those legs! http://www.uark.edu/ua/arthmuse//house_centipede.html ) on my sister's wall and whacked it with a magazine. It fell to the floor, unmoving, and Bobka sniffed it once and then ate it.
