The only exception I can think of, offhand, is a Gatch F episode where there's a character named Anna who is an old friend of Joe's from his BC Island days -and she doesn't get killed either. There used to be a little clip from the episode on youtube that showed her coming on board the God Phoenix with Joe (sitting in his lap, in fact) and James explained who she was.
You're reminding me of how much it's been since I've watched some episodes ... long enough to forget such details, which, thanks to you, are more than welcome when they finally reemerge! Well ... the longer I'll take to literally find some time (which I think "never" at this rate!), the more I'll be happy to rediscover the joy of watching them! I like the way you said, "and she doesn't get killed either!" ... for a change!

Doctor Eyepatch might not know that the team is Nambu/Brighthead's personal project. Although it would make an interesting GoS AU for the team to be an ISO unit. Need to read Candi's episode review of the first episode again.
This episode, it was the boss's turn to carry the idiot ball. The plot could not have worked, otherwise.
(I get the impression that Alan Young enjoyed playing villains on BotP. He definitely sounded like it in the first episode.)

LB and Candi, you did a wonderful job recapping this! I too remember this episode vividly from BOTP, and being soooo worried that the Team's identities had been revealed! The horror!!!!! I was so relieved at the end!
