This robot is from that pic of the dozens and dozens of movie and TV robots, and one that seemed really familiar to me but I'm still drawing a complete blank as to where it's from.
Anyone else know?
It looks like something from Hanna-Barbera of the 60's or 70's possibly from a Jetsons special or something.

Seeing Zark's plight, I found myself thinking that he really needs to be more like this robot, and then he could cope:

I don't watch the show, but isn't it a Dr. Who Dalek? I think i recognize it from some of Sosai Tim's stuff.

I've never seen this movie at all, but I swear I recall seeing some cartoon with a robot that's supposed to some sort of super-efficient multi-tasking worker robot, with multiple arms like this one...
It's going to bug me until I remember it!

What is Princess holding? Is it some sort of sensor? Why does she need two hands to use it? At first I thought it was her 'cycle, until I had a closer look.

Yeah, and surely it wouldn't have been that hard to keep the people who did the colouring apprised of the correct colours to use for each character!
I'd allow for the odd mistake -even the Tatsunoko animators sometimes, briefly, got a colour wrong -but this is the cover illustration where you'd think the most attention would be given!
I have to say, though, that someone got to have some fun coming up with alien creatures for the team to encounter, since they weren't facing the every-alien-looks-human limitation that Sandy Frank's people did.
What the heck are all the gadgets that they're holding, I wonder? Zark's latest inventions in planetary surveying equipment, no doubt...
The gadgets are all equipment for surveying the planet.
Jason and Tiny are *close* to their right colors. Jason has helmet trim and gloves issues, while Tiny's suit is the only thing that is the wrong color. Keyop just has an orange cape but WOW, does it ever hurt the eyes! Princess and Mark are the ones that are totally wrong.
I agree with LB: you'd think the'd have a reference as to what the characters were supposed to look like and pay some attention to the accuracy on the cover!

I think their gadgets need a setting to detect encroachments by giant dashiki-wearing green aliens! They seem to have been caught off guard -I guess Zark is currently too overwhelmed with incoming messages to keep a vigilant eye on them?
Their like a cross between Draconion (movie "Enemy Mine" 1985 Dennis Quaid) and a very old horror comic I read refering to a sub-human/ neandertholic species that the towns people were afraid they were descendant from (called "Droggs"?)
or Troglodyte -a cave dwellier, esp one of the prehistoric people thought to have lived in caves
have to search shed for comic cause it's going to annoy me till I find the name they used
