An art student is selling a sculpture of herself made entirely from Sellotape to pay for her studies.
Helen Cunningham, 21, from Surrey, hopes it will cover all of her tuition and living costs.
She is due to start a one year course at the College of Art and Design in Leeds this summer.
But she is not eligible for a student loan and has no other way of paying for the course and her living costs.
Helen said: "I am hoping that I can attract interest from collectors and art personalities who would be willing to buy and display my art, and/or sponsor my studies over the next year.
"The interesting feature of this model is in the material used - it is an entirely solid piece, made using nothing but Sellotape.
"As it stands at the moment, I estimate about 100 rolls have been used in the production, with it weighing well over 5kg."
Hubby's coworker is just starting his PhD in database systems. All his ideas for a thesis so far have been shot down as being not theoretical enough. Like, what do they have against research that pays off within their own lifetimes?
