March 14 - An eagle wearing a camera was "launched" from the top of the world's tallest building in Dubai. I'd originally saw the BBC footage, but they kept cutting away from the eagle's POV! While NBC's broadcast was much shorter, they kept the best bits of the flight....

There's one thing I found a bit unsettling about the overhead view of Dubai: I'm so used to seeing patches of green grass and trees that the patches of sand in Dubai seemed unnatural. My brain couldn't accept the fact that green parks aren't universal!

Yeah, I'm sure that birds all rolled their eyes whenever humans said the Earth was flat. Smile Somehow I'm reminded of the thought that the team must get really sore necks when they have to soar for long periods of time. Or, at least, if they have to keep craning their necks to look ahead instead of just looking down.
