The 400th Bradbury’s Jar Prompt is quickly approaching….and I find myself facing a serious decision. The past few months have produced no responses to the prompts. Mind you, I understand how rough RL can be (boy, do I ever!), and I know how mush-minded muses can be. But I also can’t stand continually doing something that is just a wasted effort.
I’d like to have your opinion. Should I end Bradbury’s Jar at Prompt 400? Or should I change it so that there’s a prompt every other week or once a month? Or do you have some other idea I could try?
I need your feedback on this!

Maybe once a month would work. When I'm well and my muse is cooperating, the regular prompt is fun. When I'm dealing with daily migraines, not so much. I guess it really comes down to how you feel about it. If participants had to commit to a response, we might do more.

Maybe dropping back to once a month would be a good option.
I have intentions to answer some of the prompts from the past month or two - I just haven't had the mental space and time to commit pen to paper.
I will miss the prompts if they disappear completely . . . but I can always go back and answer older ones.
I understand the frustration of feeling as though no-one is taking the time to participate. I apologize for my part in that. The spirit is willing, but the muse is week!
As GGO said, you need to do what is right for you.

I wish I could participate like I have in the past, but unfortunately things going on in life have just sucked up my time and physical and mental energy (and welll....life has just sucked in general), not to mention I think my muses have pretty much abandoned me at this point in time. Am hoping one day to go back to prompts but don't know when that'll be.

I just haven't had the time to participate in a long time, but I have also noticed there are very few people participating on the site at all.
There hasn't been anything happening with BotP in a while, but I'm hoping maybe we'll hear more about the BotP movie and that will get everyone posting again.

Like Becky said, many of the regular contributors haven't been on site for a long while, and those of us that are still here will have RL issues to contend with.
I know my reasons for not posting have been regarding my health, but it hasn't stopped me from following the threads, or adding new threads from time to time. (I might have posted contributions once in a while if I wasn't worried about them merging into a longer fic).
Anyway, if you wish to post the prompts monthly, then you have my full support.
