I am very happy to have gained another creative outlet. I still am not too sure about how happy I am to post stories for others to read. I may be writing but my stories are still not up for "all" to read.

CD, please note that others are very happy to read your stories (me included), so thanks for sharing them with us and please continue to do so!

CD, your stories are just as wonderful as anyone elses. I like to get glimpses of your inside world.

When I was in high school, shortly after BOTP went off the air, I sent Casey a couple of long distance dedications dedicated to him. I so loved hearing his voice, and thinking that G-Force was still around. Well after reading my freaky dedication, he sent me an autograph photo. Needless to say my older brothers and cousins razed me bad, but I didn't care one bit.

Thank you Gatchamarie and GG.
When I finish another story and am ready to post I will be sure to let you know. I am still touching up one story, I do not like one part of that I have written.

I voted for Joe/Jason yesterday, but needed to take some time before addressing the why question.
When I was little Jason was my favourite because he had the cool race car. (Yep, it was all about the car!) My memory of characters from back then is pretty hazy because I was so young. I do remember thinking Mark was good loooking with those blue eyes and the dark hair (like me).
The characteristics of Joe and Ken are much stronger in my mind because I discovered them as an adult (in my 20s).
They are both attractive, smart, strong, heroic . . . so desirable!
I guess Ken's tendancy (and need) to follow the rules is too much like me. I never really saw Joe as a "bad boy", he's just more able to question and test the rules and boundaries. Joe might better be described as dangerous - which is attractive to someone like me who really isn't!
Joe's emotional story arc is probably what made me fall for him, feel for him and cry over him!

Nice! I can understand why Joe/Jason has so much appeal!

I was always 100% on Mark/Ken's team until I watched the entire series of Gatchaman as an adult. Joe's story arc is so intriguing, and his character is so complex! Although, Mark/ Ken still slightly edges Jason/Joe out for my affections...the Condor is not far behind! Inluv2

Joe had more of a reason for fighting Galactor than the others, since they killed his parents - of course he didn't realize that was the source of his hatred for a long time.

Hola!

I voted already!

Well, the reason for choosing Joe is not because I'm attracted to bad boys, on the contrary.

At the beginning when I watched BOTP, I truly liked Mark. His character and voice in the Mexican Spanish wa Avery appealing. Maybe because I was just a little girl then.

Now that I watched Gatchaman, Joe became my favorite for a very simple reason....his true self. I truly believe that there is no greater love that form those who give their lives for the ones they love....and Joe did exactly that. He protected and even (almost) die for his team.

Like Springie said, he's just a complex and colorful misunderstanding character. Inside that rude and tough attitude, there is a very sensitive man.

For that reason and many others, now he's my favorite number one.....Ken, well, he's just his friend!

I know this thread has been last active since 2016 ...

But fortunately enough I wanted to input my thoughts, and reasons on why Ken Washio/Ken the Eagle stands out to me as a personal favorite of mine. Be warned, I tend to go into much inextricable essays so be prepared for it.

I said somewhere else I watched the show as G-Force: Guardians of Galaxy back in 95, or 96 as much as my memory allows me to fall back. As a young kid, I would always be meeting my mark and my eyes fixated on the main white mantle, and how quickly he moved from the screen along with Jun the Swan.

In 2020, the pandemic hit, of course, we’re all in a bustle of that which is now, and had my ADV stored away after all these years when little me spent some time trying to find the show that starred this white Eagle. I didn’t realize how much the show had influenced me, plus the main hero himself. Flashy, stylish and determined is well put when I see him. Always convinced victory despite all hell breaking loose, and coming out alive with his stubborn ego.

I find Ken much like myself, loyal and compassionate for those he wants to protect as well as a leader, especially being able to analyze from looks alone. Same goes for having politeness, and a warming aura surrounding him. Sometimes I feel like all these traits may get me a laugh or two, especially since I even look like Ken Washio, another reason I flock to him; the long hair especially with the flowy curves and strains.

I also find he has the ability to pilot most aircrafts cool, I was abroad a aircraft carrier cruise, watching a F14 and a Raptor marking their sonic boom barriers over head; living by a airport and seeing all sorts of aircrafts from blimps, to paragliders streaming overhead. So the G-1 became my absolute favorite vehicle next to the Eagle Sharp in Gatchaman II. (Honorable mentioning that I also enjoy the Gatchaspartan and the original God Phoenix, too!)

Now I have much fondest for the rest of the team such as Joe, here. He is perhaps my second favorite of the whole group followed by Ryu, and some others. But for my sake, some of his personality does clash with my logic and reasoning, especially since I am a bit more of a follower of what is right, and what is justice. Plus sometimes his impulsive behavior, and as well as Kens have a differentiating devotion. The two are upheld like an upstanding mirror which seem to share the same, so I won’t convict each one of them as wrong, it is just Ken sides with me as the better choice.

Anyway, that is my two cents. I am the Eagle all the way on my side, and that makes the two polls both even!

(I seen some of you did the personality test, mine is INFJ: Introverted, Intuitive, Feeling, and Judging traits, if anyone is curious. It is usually entitled as the advocate, or protector personality.)

I'll do it. Smile

I voted for Joe.

My Condor appreciation goes back to childhood and Battle of the Planets. I was all about Jason. I could kind of relate to him, as he was always being told "no". Also, his car and his weapon were way cooler. I thought Mark was too preachy.

I find Joe fascinating and complex and a well-rounded character. Now I find Ken to be more well-rounded and fascinating in his own way than Mark could ever be, but my Condor appreciation is still so deeply rooted in my childhood, so my vote goes to the Condor.
