And now, the exciting conclusion!

For some reason, what really cracks me up is the oh-so-low-tech solution for dealing with the double -they tie a bag over his head. Or maybe I'm just wishing they'd inflict that indignity on the real Zark.
I seem to recall that 'bag over the head' thing was really popular in 1970s sitcoms and cartoons...

...Or maybe Keyop was just getting it ready for the next Center Neptune garage sale -- all he'd have to do is slap a tag on it that says, "Mystery Grab Bag -- $1.00".
...Or maybe they wanted to see if the fake Zark could do the trick I saw several guys do when I was in college: stretch a condom over his head and inflate it with his nose!

Blistering... Uranus...? Ouch...?
But nevermind. I just have to wonder. Who in the world talks like that. Is it that age? Is it the writers? I mean phrases like 'action stations into the Phoenix' or 'sheep caught unawares by ravening wolves'. That just sounds so... embarrassing. It's not something I'd ever say out loud to my friends (or anyone else). IMO Zoltar should get a pet Persian cat and Mark should prance around in a suit. Everyone's a walking cliché.

Today we start with a brand new story...

O...K.... absolutely nothing suspicious about a flying steam locomotive then.

Well, it's obviously the Galaxy Express 999. Now all it needs is a person with long, blond hair to play the part of Maetel and it'll be perfect.

Well, that sounds better than my first thought -- that somebody had slipped something funny in their spaceburgers!

This one is certainly off to a rousing start!

Jinpei would make a fine Tetsuro, IMO. And Joe could be Captain Harlock.

Oooooh! I can so see Joe wearing that eye patch, and with that scar on his face! Now that I'm thinking, I can really see hints of similarity between him and Captain Harlock! ... both in aspect and in character! As to Jinpei being the second Tetsuro ... well, the rounded eyes are there and so is the age!

I honestly have trouble with the dialogue in this one!
Is " it's got about those in the history books" a real sentence?
My second thought was, it could be the start of a BOTP - Harry Potter crossover, since they've got the Hogwarts Express!
