Oooh! Do you have one of those green spots on your leg too? |
|
Hey! No one's supposed to know about that!!!!! |
|
Then why'd they put mine in a spot where everyone can see it? The front of my leg just above the ankle. It's visible from April through October. I keep thinking about getting a tattoo over it, but I'm a little hesitant about tats and what if They don't like it. |
|
Good instinct, Amethyst! It's a well-known fact that They don't like anything that interferes with Their cataloging system.

Maybe they use different spots and colors for different people, or maybe it denotes the different alien species.
FYI, for those that think I am being silly or something, I do have said green spot, it is bluish green, but not near a vein. It is almost perfectly round. A doctor asked me how long I had, I told him sometime in my teens. It's not a mole or a birthmark. The doctor told me that some believe that it is a sign of alien abduction. My husband, who was in the room, said, "That explains a lot." I merely shrugged. After all, I had a great aunt to papered her house in tin foil because the Catholics were spying on her.

Amethyst, I had no idea where the 'green spot' thing came from. That's neat!
I just have a few blue spots, which are veins showing through my oh-so-pale skin...

Um....are you sure it's not mildew?*

LOL! To be honest I have no idea what it is. It's the size of an eraser, but hasn't grown. The doc didn't seem worried, more curious. Maybe one day I'll take a picture of it and add it to the gallery. It's nothing grotesque, just weird.
It's strange that the alien theory makes as much sense as anything else.
Although, I never met my great aunt, or if I did, I was so small I don't remember, that helps to explain my resistance to all things Catholic and organized religion in general. I'm finally coming to terms with the fact that I can believe in God or Gods and not religion.
I wonder if any of that has anything to do with the alien theory?

I got it! You're one of the remnants of a G'ould experiment!

(Yes, I watched a lot of Stargate SG-1.)
...And I'll remember to not bring out my Irish great-great-grandfather's rosary to show you if we ever met face-to-face. (Though I think it's kind of neat -- it was designed to be smuggled into prisons...)

Possible, though I haven't watched enough to know. DH and the kids are watching it and I've seen a few episodes with them. When they finish it, and I finish Magnum, I'll go back and watch from the beginning. Then I'll know more.

No that would be safe, and kind of neat, actually. I usually okay with individuals as long as they aren't trying to convert me, save my sole, or blocking access to medical clinics. I guess I should be lucky I live when and where I do. Somewhere else, some other time, I'd have been burned at the stake or drowned, maybe even stoned.

Huh. I could've sworn you lived in a state where you could pretty easily get stoned...

(I just couldn't resist that.)

Only if there's medical necessity.

Am I seeing that right? All of them in Zark's control room?
And why do they all seem to crowd around Tiny when he's trying to pilot the Phoenix?

I didn't even notice that! Yep, you're right!

Because clearly they're trying to leech off of Tiny's radiating coolness factor as he flies. (Plus it allows them all to squeeze into one small panel.)

Pretty flowers can't be dangerous.
Right.
Past episodes aside, I guess she never saw the poppy scene in The Wizard of Oz, huh?

Why not? Opium comes from poppies, so who knows what kind of wacky weed Zoltar's blooms come from?

I fell when I was about ten in gravel and got a piece in my knee. For whatever reason, my parents never got it out. It healed over and over time, turned blue, so I have a small blue spot on my knee.
Maybe something got under your skin, Ame and just got absorbed, leaving the colored mark.
