It is a great theory Marie and something I had even thought about.

I was also thinking the kneeling position gave the bottom of the structure more stability and strength when they spin and try to "cut through" the rock.

So, was there anyone here who thought that Chief Anderson's wardrobe needed changing? You got your wish!

Those colours for his suit are better, I think, than the original ones -a darker blue for the jacket, white shirt instead of yellow, and a beige vest instead of reddish brown.

And he's a "Captain" now instead of a "Chief"? I believe "Captain" outranks "Commander," at least in the US Navy, so maybe that's why he's got a promotion?

I confess I'm surprised, though, that he has his usual hair colour -after what they did to Mark, Jason, Princess and Keyop, I wouldn't have been surprised if they'd made him a redhead, for variety!

In the one that I had way back then, I recall they even drew Anderson up in Zark's control center.

I also recall being less than impressed with the art, at least for the comics based on television shows. The one or two 'independent' titles I looked at varied in quality. Some were almost up to the standards of Marvel or DC.

I agree, these new colors are more sedate and less '70s'. I also love the big star chart on the wall!

UW, I'm not so much quibbling with the quality of the artists, but how little they knew (or cared) about their original subject manner.

Bad art doesn't help.

I'm surprised they used writers who didn't know the shows. Would it have hurt for them watch a couple of episodes?

I too must agree that the new colours of Anderson's clothes seem much better! As to the hair I'm quite relieved to see things unchanged! ... not my same reaction when I watched the Gatchaman OAVs!!

Okay, here's a good one. How many things can you find that are wrong with this cover?

I'll start with a couple, but there are so many more. When did Tiny become a beach ball? When did Princess' boots turn yellow?

Have at it...

Laugh2 Oh God, so many things...

When did Jason lose his left sleeve?

When did Jason and Princess lose their wrist communicators? Or are they wearing them on their right arms now?

Posted by clouddancer on 04-06-2011 at 23:36:

Princess' gloves and cape are pink with orange on her helmet.
And isn't Keyop meant to be yellow and red? Tries to remember the last time I looked at an image of Keyop.

Keyop's outfit is more yellow.

And Mark's wearing pale blue.

Someone must have thought Princess was wearing a skin-tight under her skirt outfit.

Tiny's left hand has no glove. Jason's gloves and boots are brown. Mark's suit is blue.

There are even more... scary, innit? Wink

One of Jason's gloves has a bit of green, too! (the tiny part showing under Keyop's armpit!) And, I'm totally cracking up at seeing Tiny's extra-rounded figure ... just like a beach ball as you have perfectly pointed out, TJ!

Loks like they were all in a blender to mix up the colors.

Not to mention, to shred the arms of their uniforms!

Okay, this is one I thought was weird. None of the body positions seem right.
