you know, Zoltar actually seems to be succeeding in this mission, we haven't seen G-force actually do anything to stop him yet!!!!

Come on, what's keeping them!

Maybe the artists are too worn out after doing such a good job on the first panel! Pleased

He IS half naked. He had been sunning himself on the beach in a bathing suit, remember?

LOL! I'm having continuity issues!

I'm sure the moment G-Force does anything the strip is over! I mean, think about it. Couldn't the Fiery Phoenix easily melt all of the ice and snow?

But that would be too simple.

Sometimes simple is the easiest and fastest way to solve things. You have to remember these are very short runs 6 - 8 pages at the most it looks like.

Or maybe I have not been watching close enough over the last few months.

Okay, then how about this for the reason why they don't use the fiery Phoenix: it's intelligent and makes sense! That simply goes against everything this comic stands for!!

Maybe their 'special powers' have been used up. That would explain why they haven't transmuted.

Ohhh, yes, I forgot we are talking about a series that is based on nonsense science. So you are welcome to ignore my previous post. Wink

CD, you are totally right. The stories are short, usually averaging about 8 pages (sometimes 6, sometimes 10, rarely shorter than 6). SO they spend 4 pages plus on 'setup' and then end it pretty quickly.

Okay today, G-Force tries to do something... but not enough....

just a wild guess, but is the answer to the question in the last panel "NO"?

Well that seemed rather... pointless. Can't the Phoenix land on snow? Did they want to show off? Oh, wait. Was it supposed to thaw the ground? If so, than the amount of heat would turn anything aboveground into ashes and for that they would need more than to fly above it once. Oh, they melted the snow. Isn't that charming? Damn, none of this makes any sense. Besides, placing a superheated object near a damn missile silo seems like a pretty stupid idea. Angryfire Angryfire Angryfire (Or maybe a good idea. That would be actually quite funny, if everything went up in flames.)

Since Victoria's hit on the big points, I'll get in a couple of little things!

Wow, Keyop's got some awesome programming -- to actually get premonitions is some feat! Eat your heart out, Bill Gates!

Also, couldn't Zoltar find a way to bring back that old gunslinger from "The Greatest Gun In the Galaxy", or did he get shooting lessons from the old guy? Sniper (If he got the same training as his goons, he would've been better off just surrendering before the last panel!)

Anyone notice that Tiny's visor disappeared again?

Victoria, you make a number of excellent points!

They have not Eyes (corniea, iris, lens) how can they see to shoot? just white and black dots

and out of sheer curiosity (channeling my dark side)

Zoltar could start a media campain blaming Gforce for localized flooding, or a cause of global warming and melting the ice-caps (the water from the melting snow has to go somewere)

I know it's "in the script" but there has to be an easier way

I think there comic are making my muse switch sides out of frustration

Picture the scene:

Zoltar is getting ready to attending one of the high society Gala Balls - it is a fancy dress theme.
(monsters of the universe)
After last years fiasco attendies have been advised NOT to attend wearing costumes of G Force or ISO members (a political nightmare and the cleaning bills were astronomical, who knew blood removal from satin was so expensive)

Zoltar is putting the last touches on his/her costume and is pleased, he calls for one of his minion to help him/her with the cape.

Two goons slides in, they are in raggity cloths, have hunch backs, over done make-up, smell strongly of chemicals and floor polish

Zoltar looks them both up and down and shoots them both

He points to another guard (still in good uniform) and
then to the bodies on the floor, throws his hand up in the air and yells:

"I am surrounded by imbeciles!. How many times did I get you lot to watch the movies, I said Renfield not Igor, not Quasimoto. Renfield!"

The goon searches his small brain for what to say, not wanting to end up like the others on the floor, who he knows spend a great deal of time on their costumes and make-up and were very exited about going to the gala and mixing it with high society.

Zoltar has stopped his ranting and now stand next to the good , gun ready.
The goon says the next thing that pops into his head hopping it is right
"Uh Yes Master?!"
Zoltar seems pleased, sweeps his long black cloak around him and does his best Bela Lugosi impersonation leaves the room, the goon follows, dreading the rest of the night with a vague thought that it did not end well for Renfield

Didn't Spectra already try the "I'll freeze them solid!" plan, with this old guy?

I think Zoltar would make a really good Dracula!
