Jason was visiting the color artist, trying to get his uniform the correct colors.

The first panel on that page. Did the phoenix just hit its head pretty hard against some random blue wall?

Also - a tornado meant for ducking the security system? Ducking? As in: 'To lower the head or body in order to prevent it from being struck by something', as quoted from wiktionary? How does that even work with a tornado? Confused1

I didn't take it that far apart. It could be they didn't have a full understanding of the English language.

Perhaps. But then, this was written by English writers... from the country for whom the language was named...

That might be true, but during my time in the UK I've seen some Brits write charming little words such as 'emediately' or 'leak soup'.

Having been to England a few times, I found there was a definite difference in our languages. Some signs had us scratching our heads. It culd just have been some confusion on how we use certain words.

cultural differences really

Though there are many cultural differences, I don't think they can be used as an excuse for the awkward wording used in this comic. Maybe it's a question of age rather than dialect. Or half-assed writing. I mean, what kind of superhero says "Start our super-power sequence."?

(Though then again, the more often I read "My doomdrill will defy all!", the harder I'm thinking about possible applications of this sentence IRL. I just hope no one will ever use it in any 18+ fics, because that would be just... discombobulating. I'm starting to feel dirty just for writing this. T_T)

I can just see the story now... a mad scientist has a pretty young thing strapped to a table. As she's screaming her pretty little head off, he lets out an evil laugh and says, "You think you have a reason to be frightened now. Just wait until I whip out my doomdrill and activate its superpower sequence !"

*sigh* Thanks a lot, EW. I just remembered that part from ep. 28, when Dr. Nambu strapped Jun to the table and zapped her and she kept writhing in pain and moaning and stuff.

Oh dear... I was thinking back to the era of "pulp" science fiction (or the "Golden Age", as some would have it) when there always seemed to be a mad scientist strapping a pretty young thing to a table while the hero fights his way across the galaxy to save her... nothing Gatch came to my mind!

And long-moustachioed men before them tying women to railroad tracks ...

He paced back and forth with maniac purpose.
Occasionaly turning abruptly to flick back is long black coat and thow back his head to laugh with glee.
He twisted and turned his waxed mustaches as he pondered his next move.
Suddenly crying out loud "Eureka" he strode purposly towards the buxom woman tied to the table.

"You cries cannot be heard hear My pretty, ..no one will save you... your so called hero is dead...dead by my hands...my hands alone.....for to long that medalsome fool has got in my way...BUT no more (enter maniac laughter and dramatic gesture)... no more, he fell like all others will under my Subatomic, Partical Avisorating Ray of Doom

But you..you alone I will save..you alone will stand by my side and the world will bow down to me..Doctor Evisorator..."

Upon the table the Buxom woman, cried forth, her please of "no no please not this" were muffled by the lavender gag he had placed in her mouth
She struggled in vain upon the ropes that bound her, (silk off course for Dr Evisorator did not want to mare her perfect skin, but off course as he was mad, he would kill her and find another if she did not bend to his mighty power)

His further maniac laughter was cut short as alarms began to sound in his "Oh so secret hideout"

Upon the table the Buxom woman, though her muffles lavender gag called out "my hero"
and yes it was so, for high ubove their head stood the Hero, posed strong and proud, legs spread out hands upon his hip stricking the universal pose for all superheros
and the hero doing is best Dudley Do-right impersonation (with dramatic music for heros playing in the back ground) said "I have come to save the day, and you (he points to evil mania) will pay for you crimes and one again the earth will be saved, birds will sing, children will play and evil will be vanquished from the streets again"

and as he does this heroic speech (genetically ingrain in all superheros) Dr Evisorator escapes to cause havic for another day.

The Buxom woman tied to the table is again left frustrated, as we all know, for the hero like many before him, is dramatic and imposing, but has the sex drive of a dead fish, yet she will always love him and pine for him, but secretly wish he'd get his shit together and just though her on the table and have his way with her.

Alas it will never happen.

I'm choosing to blame that piece on those annoying pre-recorded voice you get with certain companys
"for this press 2, for this press 8' when all I want to do is speak to a real person, change some details and go on to the next phone call, not press heaps of buttons
a 5 minute job turns into 15minutes of frustration and wait
so my muse took me elseware

I know its bad, but it save a little bit more of my sanity
