Those are great, Adriana.
As soon as they came out with the Apple watches, my first thought was the bracelets.

Hola James! Yes, that set is the only one I have ever seen! It's crazy the prices these articles are reaching. Guess they are consider vintage now. As I said, hopefully I can get this one complete one day.....it would be a great present for myself!
Thank you for your comments! I'm learning so much about the memorabilia....gracias!

Hi all,
But the best bracelet I've seen so far was one that came in a Spanish toy set. It had an adjustable black (or red) plastic band and a lenticular face that went from plain yellow, to a version of the scramble signal. It wasn't perfect, but at least they did something!
The bracelet is in the "Space Ray With Light" package at the top of this link:

When I was with SFE, I tried to get a bracelet replica off the ground. I had some detailed plans drawn up for a functional timepiece that had a light and could make the appropriate sounds. Maybe someday!

Hola Jason.....the other! This bracelet is great but what you mention about producing a replica sounds great. Maybe you should continue with the idea and design one now that technology is available for one that would be very close to the one in the series. The smart watch is a great idea!
Well, I know that I would buy one and for sure many here in the group would be interested in getting it as well.

That's a great idea Chris! Maybe this is the time to produce a Gatchaman bracelet!

Hola RIgirl! Thank you for the comment! Actually that was the most valuable item in the lot. It had been sold by someone in Japan who got it from Tatsunoko company and put it on auction because he wanted someone else to enjoy it.....I was the lucky one! Believe me, there were many trying to get it.
Gengas are very rare to buy, especially those so old!

That's the best reason to get an Apple Watch that I've heard! |
|
Yes TJ! Maybe we should try to convince Jason to produce something with the bracelet's logo fitted in

Thank you Becky! There are two more packages on the way.....I'm waiting anxiously for those as something great is in one of them.....
Joe is coming, Joe is coming....la,la,la,la.....
I'm crossing my fingers! Maybe we can convince Jason to produce a smart watch resembling the bracelets for us!!!

I have the bird head logo as the home screen on my iPad plus the bird scramble signal as the home screen on my iPhone, along with the bracelet call sound effect as my ringtone. Not too nerdy...
I was reviewing a
Battle episode the other day and the wrist activator call sounded and I reached for my phone. Yeash!

Jajajajaja....for sure that could be confusing!
I wouldn't mind to have a ringtone like that, where to get it?
Have you ever thought of producing a cool apparel based on the series, I will definitely buy it!

I captured the audio where it appeared clean in an episode, then picked one "ring," looped it in an audio editing program so it lasted 30 seconds, converted it into the correct ringtone format and installed it on the phone.
If anyone wants it, let me know off list and I should be able to forward it along.
Best,
Jason

Hi all,
This may be a little late, but I remembered I had taken pictures of the lenticular action of the Spanish Wrist Activator toy. I had taken them for another board member to use in a blog post. There was an image sitting here at the Gatchamania gallery all along.

I like the toy now but I really wish I'd had it as a kid!

Hola Jason.....The One with the activator,
This so cool! Awesome!!! Do you think that someone could produce something like this for us? I mean, make it gray and with full length for the scramble....maybe it's possible!
Consider making some, I will definitely buy it!!! This toy I wanted as a little girl and I want now too!!!
