What they don't know is that the tags are being removed to prevent a certain secret base from being found. Those scientists should be glad that the walruses haven't used their deadly rainbow rays on them in revenge for sticking tags in their hides.

5 is an auspicious number in japan, can't remember why though. Unlike 4, which is an unlucky number because one of the words for 4 sounds like one of the words for death, or something like that.
