Help! Gatchaman Fighter episodes summary needed!

Hola everyone!

I'm watching for the first time Gatchaman Fightet and besides 10 episodes from which I have the summaries, I couldn't find anything else.

Please, if any of you know where to get (or have) the summaries, let me know. I have the episodes in Japanese and I can guess what it's going on but it would be nice to get details from the episodes. Especially now that I'm watching the last 10.

Thank you so much!

Have a great day...

I'd love to find scripts myself! It's very hard to find translations or translators to finish translating it as volunteers. Here's a couple of spots:

Some summaries here

There's some here

Hola Chris! Thank you so much for the links. Those I have them already. There is another page in which we can read the dialogues....

http://gatchaman.freevar.com/scriptsF.htm

But bisides that, there is nothing available.

We shall continue looking and hoping someone will translate them for the fans!

I knew I was missing at least one. Smile I'm trying to sweet-talk a guy on Facebook into doing some translations for us, but first he's doing another favorite show of his so it'll be a while. We'll see if he's still interested after that.

Sometimes it's fun just to make up your own plots! For example, one year some of us were watching random Fighter episodes before heading to Comic Con. We had no idea what was going on. There was a good-looking male pilot who seemed interested in Ken, and they would play the 'twinkly' music when he was onscreen. So we thought maybe he was in love with Ken! That was certainly how it seemed based on the visuals and music. We made up dialogue for him and had a great time!

But then at the con, we asked James about it, and he told us that the other guy was just another pilot who was a 'rival' of Ken's. It sounded far more boring than the MSTing version we had come up with! I still prefer to think of the storyline we made up.

And that gave me insight into how some of those BOTP episodes might have been written... Wink

ITA with you, TJ.

The first fic I wrote, A Night To Remember, started from a scene in Gatch F, Ep 46. I have always wondered what Jun was saying to an unconscious Ken, and made up my own version. The rest of the fic just grew from that.

I still wonder what she is actually saying, but I know, if I'm patient enough, I'll find out one day. Smile

So Chris, where shall we die react our charms to? Wink

Like you said, hopefully he will do it soon!

Jajajajaja.....I saw that episode and I thought the pilot was an admirer (in the good sense). Well, we could come up with our own dialogues. Yet, I would like to know what they are saying, precious details are missing from image to dialogues.

Don't you think so?

KT, I have a Japanese friend who could translate that for us. Let me try to convince her to write for us the entire dialogue. No promises but I will try my best as she's very busy.

I'm sure that scene must be very interesting. Please share with me your fic!

The fic in question is posted on Gatchfanfic, but due to it's content rating, only members can access it, and I know getting registered is difficult right now. If you're not a member already, and want to read it let me know and I can email it to you.

Of course I'd be delighted if your friend could translate the dialogue for that scene, if not the whole episode, and I'm sure there are others here who would be just as interested too.

I just sent a message to my friend, hopefully she will reply soon. I haven't seen the episode myself, hopefully by this weekend will do it.

We used to do that "make up the story" thing all the time a couple of decades ago when I was in my university's science fiction club. It had a lot of anime fans and subtitled stuff was much more rare. If we didn't have a script we'd make things up and were often disappointed, as TJ said, by the real version. Smile

Sometimes the translations are shocking, though, if taken out of appropriate cultural context. Smile I seem to recall that when Egobossler and Ken meet, the dialog sounds very much like Egobossler has a crush on Ken. And then there's when they're talking about Ken's jr high science teacher who taught him the meaning of loyalty? (or honor or something) ... and love. *blinkblink*

Anyone who's willing to translate parts of the series should be told that they don't have to make the English text beautiful, and they don't have to do the subtitling. Smile For a number of them I edited the English where it was rough (while trying not to change the meaning) and the person who subtitled the others would probably be happy to subtitle the rest if she has time. Smile

Totally agree. It's not easy to translate from one language to another as the terms vary and the context may need to use certain terms. Well, I already contacted my friend, hopefully she will help us with episode 46.

I watched all of them already.....I wanted to cry at the last scene.... :/

Poor Joe!!! Frown

Well, let's wait for us to know what Jun said to Ken but for what I get, she might told him that she had feelings for him and perhaps he heard her. Because in the final confrontation he was so enraged in the moment she collapsed.

Too many emotions and important dialogues from all of them and we simply in the dark..... Crap

Yeah it's frustrating when you know it's important stuff and can't understand it!
