Conan's shows at Comic Con were awesome! My husband got to be in the audience for the Wednesday show, and he rated it as being the highlight of his con (tied with attending the Star Wars panel and symphony concert afterward).
We're still recovering from the show, but Comic Con is always awesome. You guys should come next year! The Gatchaman fan group always meets up and has a great time. This year, Jason invited us to his home to have a BOTP viewing party with Franklin Cofod, who was a supervising editor on the show.
If you guys want to join in the fun, you have to come next year!

It's nearly impossible to reserve hotel rooms right now. Most places have the dates blocked off. Some will open up later at exorbitant prices, but most will be part of the SDCC hotel lottery next spring.

Mr. Cofod was very gracious to come down and spend a good chunk of the day with us. I'd been in contact with him earlier in the year and he came down to do an interview (which I hope to publish somewhere in the near future). I asked him later if he'd be interested in coming back during the Comic-Con. To my great surprise, he was!
He came by the house here in the early afternoon on Saturday, went to dinner with some of us, then spent the night helping us lampoon various versions of Battle, G-Force and more. I think he had a good time sharing stories about his work. I know he was thankful to meet fans and hear how much Battle meant to us.

At this point you're simply waiting for the open registration to begin. Once that happens, if you get badges, then the mania begins in terms of searching for hotels, etc.
Jason, we didn't get Conan tickets either, due to some technical mishaps and a confluence of bad luck. But a friend of mine had one extra ticket and offered it to me, so I passed it on to my husband.
I am looking forward to reading all of the con reports in the upcoming Birdscramble! I just finished up my trib this past week.
