Wear Your Green!

With St. Paddy's Day coming up this Thursday, I thought I'd post some new and old St. Patrick's Day pics...Don't forget to wear green!

We all know that green is Ryu's color!

Springie, I really love the Owl you drew. A nice compliment to the other St. Paddy's day pics you have drawn through the years.

Love the new pics, Springie.

I'm sure our own certain Green ninja will completely encourage the wearing of green....

Poor Jinpei. Looks like he's ready to disown his sister...

Hmmmmm.... What is it about St Paddy's Day that I like again? I'm not Irish... I don't drink... and yet.... hmmm... shall have to think on this some more....

I always enjoy St Paddy's Day, but recently it has occurred over my Board's Spring Break so I do not get the full affect of it. That is working on the day and feeling the enjoyment from the children as the entire school dresses in green.

Well, at least you can wear green. The only color that looks worse on me then red is green (unless it is a pale pastel, mint or aqua; teal and turquoise I can pull off, too). I don't drink beer. I hate corned beef (only thing nice about corned beef is it gives me an excuse to cook fish since my hubby likes corned beef). I am part Irish (about an 1/8 or less, mostly I'm German and English). Though I do love Swift's "A Modest Proposal"; yeah, I know that's the Potato Faminie, not St. Patrick driving the snakes off the island (now, I'm hoping that my history is correct).

Like you Amethyst, I do not look good in green, but I do make an exception for that one day - if I am out and doing some shopping.

Honestly, I don't think much about the holiday, although if I remember I might try to wear green. I don't drink either, and that seems to be mostly what it's about.

But, that being said, I think the picture of Tiny looks great! The outfit really seems to suit him, somehow!

Great Pics Springie. I love the ones of Jun and especially got a kick out of Jinpei's leperchaun outfit. snicker... Great pic of Ryu.
I usually luck out on St. Patty's Day for wearing of the green, my uniforms green. Smile Don't celebrate much, I do love cabbage but don't care for corn beef. Way too salty. Don't drink either but I do like the Irish says and being a 1/4 Irish do tend to lean towards the holiday. Guess with a name like Murphy it's expected. Smile That being said, I hope Everyone has a Happy St. Patty's Day and enjoy it in your own special way. Stpaddy

Love the new pic of Ryu, Springie! That hat really suits him!

Hmm, I do drink and I do like beer. However, I've no Irish ancestry and no green clothes (the ones that aren't black are grey or brown).

As it is, Thursdays are a long day at work now and by the time I'm done, I'm going to be too tired to do any partying.

I always love to see your St Patrick's Day related pics, Springie, and your new one is just great! Ryu must be so glad with the attire you've provided him!

St Patrick's Day is always a normal day like the others for me, even if I know people who love to celebrate it, maybe because of their ancestry! Some beer won't hurt, though! I love the colour green, but I don't have many clothes having that colour, even if I'd like to add more of them to my wardrobe! And, I've never considered to wear green particularly on such a day! ... this week won't be different, either, since the weather is still bad, cold and humid here and I'll surely stick with my comfy, woolen polos and jackets, which none of them happen to be green! Green is a colour I like to wear mostly in summer!

Glad you liked the pics, everyone! Being a teacher, I am constantly reminded by the kids to wear green or I'll get pinched! LOL I always have green stickers ready for the kids who forget to wear green. They are so worried about getting pinched.

I usually hide glittery shamrocks around the room and tell the kids they are from the leprechaun. If they find one, they can turn it in for a chocolate gold coin. Stpaddy2

Springie you're building up a good collection of St Patricks day piccies.

Here's a ficcie to add to the collection.

"A Leprechaun And A Pot Of Gold."

I love me a Green Owl, I just found my new screen saver for St Paddy's.

I love claiming my irish ancestry, St Paddy's will give me an extra reason to dance and jig around work, and cause I have an RDO on Friday, a few drinks with friends in the evening

I found our recently when tracing the family tree I've got a bit of the Irish in me, along with every other European land and then some.

I love the color green but can't drink (allergic to alcohol too), so give me the green Koolaide.

Once when I was a kid on St. Paddy's Day, my mother added green food coloring to everything we had for dinner. There's nothing like green mashed potatoes and green gravy to turn your stomach.

I would agree on the green gravy, but the green mashed potatoes don't sound bad - although it maybe LOOKING at them that makes your stomach turn.
