Surprised this wasn't on here sooner, but Sony has just acquired the web domain for a "gatchaman-movie.net" website. Of course it doesn't work yet, but the record and info is here:

Now there WAS the Imagi movie and then there was that Japanese Live action film. Maybe it's the latter? Or is the CG film still going forward?

It could be related to Nikkatsu's supposed plan to make a live-action Gatchaman movie.

It does seem that Nikkatsu is currently promoting a movie called "Gantz" that comes out later this month, so they are doing things.

I saw that advertisement for Gantz also. Gantz is a nasty anime. Over the top violence. They'd have been much better off working on Gatchaman.
