I think I know what Galactor is upto. I just saw this on the Yahoo UK & Ireland homepage, saw the ITN feature and here's the article.

My theory is that Galactor is now hiring Kangaroos who they must suspect are more itelligent than the usual Goon cannon fodder and are trying them out down under.

I can't recall any episode with a mecha shaped like a kangaroo, which is probably why Galactor is using them now -they've tried and failed with every other animal!

Although, if that episode where Joe and Lucy competed in a trans-African race had been set in Australia instead...

I'm having a giggle here thinking of evil koalas with glowing eyes and Long-legged emu's chasing the G2 pecking pecking pecking with their funky gutteral clicking sound they make...

Imagine an evil platypus sliding out of the river and confusing the hell out of Jason as he wonders just what the bloody animal is ... is it a duck? A beaver? What?

Or how about the mighty Wedgetailed Eagle -- towering over the Bald Eagle -- and swooping the G2 as they do on the great Northern Highway to take out your car...

Heh heh ... ahh the temptation to issue a challenge to all writers to come up with a fic where you set the race in a country of your choice ....
