Wonderful news!

There's no release dates as of yet, but ADV will be releasing uncut episodes of Gatchaman! Here is the link for the news.

I am really excited for this. ADV does wonderful work with the dvds they have put out. They generally have several episodes to a disc rather than just two like Rhino. Furthermore, they will be releasing *all* of Gatchaman I. Uncut, subtitled Gatch. It's a dream come true! These guys have never let me down, so I'm *really* looking forward to see what they do.

Great news! Not only can I buy the Gatchaman DVD's but I just noticed that my cable company has added the Anime Channel ( or is in the process of doing so)...

Not even the japanese have brought out Gatch F on DVD yet.

I wonder if the people who produced the Hong Kong bootlegs of Gatch 1 will be producing a similarly whacked out set for Gatch 2?

I'm looking forward to seeing what ADV do for Gatchaman releases. I doubt I'd be buying any that Rhino have already covered, but beyond those they're bound to make a better job of the subtitling than the bootleggers did.

Perhaps we should have a sweepstake of how many episodes they'll put per DVD? I'm going to put a random guess of 6 Big Grin

I think it's only the first season, but I could be wrong. If it shows enough popularity, they'll probably put out the other seasons.

Six sounds like a good number to me. Can't wait for a few more details.

I have a bootleg of the first 4 episodes of Gatchaman F in japanese that a friend got me while she was in hong kong, but the quality is pretty crappy!
