Storytelling online

For those who wonder why some of us are so excited about storytelling. (Buffy's an expert; I dabble at the edges.)

A live performance is very different. The teller adapts to the audience, and usually (at least up here) several tellers take turns, so, especially if there are a lot of amateurs who only have a few stories on tap, the sets aren't as carefully chosen. The groups I go to, most of us know (or are getting to know) each other, which brings a whole new level; chances are you know why the teller was touched by a story, or you've heard the teller try out a few versions at Guild and know why they made the choices they did.

Anyhoo, enjoy!
